MECU Merged Fallstaff and Seton Branches (March 2, 2015)
Plans Spring Opening of New Cranbrook Branch

March 2, 2015 --- To better serve its members, MECU of Baltimore, Inc. merged its Fallstaff Branch located on Reisterstown Road into its newly remodeled and expanded Seton Branch located in the Seton Business Park. The two branches were about a mile and a half apart. The last day for the Fallstaff Branch was Saturday, February 28.

The impetus behind the move to Seton was to provide members with a better branch experience. The Seton Branch is being remodeled to develop a better traffic flow based on how members use the space. The expanded space will let members quickly identify where to get the information they want, whether they are going through the teller line to make a deposit or meeting with a Member Service Representative to discuss their finances in more detail.

The news was communicated to all MECU members in the January newsletter and on the website. Several other mailings were sent to members who live in the area around the Fallstaff Branch. Members that stopped in the branch during February received detailed information about the Seton Branch and other nearby branches.

The Fallstaff Branch created a festive environment for their last week to ensure that members who regularly use the branch knew about the change. On February 28, the branch staff hosted a “moving on” party for members visiting on their last day.

Most of the Fallstaff team will staff the new Cranbrook Branch that is opening in Cockeysville to serve members living in northern Baltimore County. A low key opening of the Cranbrook Branch is expected late March, depending on completion of the construction. The official opening will take place in late Spring.
