Everyone wants to ensure their financial data is safe and secure. With MECU's Digital Wallet, you can tap to pay wherever you see the contactless symbol. Your identifying information (your name, security code, or MECU account number) is not transmitted to the merchant when you tap to pay. Getting started is easy as 1,2,3!

How to Get Started

 


 

Apple Pay

You'll need a supported iPhone or iPad to add your MECU Credit Union credit or debit card to Apple Pay. Open the Wallet® app, swipe down, and tap the plus sign. Use your camera to enter the card number or add it manually.
 

Google Play

Download the Google Pay App from the Google Play Store to add your MECU credit or debit card to Google Pay. Snap a picture or enter your card credentials. If your MECU card is already linked to your Google Account, you can add it to the Google Pay App by confirming a few details.
 
 

Samsung Pay

To add your MECU credit or debit card to Samsung Pay, download through Samsung Galaxy App Store or Google Play Store. Snap a picture or enter your card credentials.
 
 
 
      
 

How to Use Apple, Google, or Samsung Pay in Participating Stores

  1. Look for the Pay Wave  or Apple, Google, or Samsung Pay symbol at checkout and hold your phone near the contactless reader.

  2.  Place your finger on the TouchID or use FACE ID. You can also enter a passcode.

  3. Keep your phone by the reader until it vibrates and beeps, indicating your payment was accepted.

You can use your MECU credit and debit cards, including our business credit and debit cards.
For Apple Pay:
  • Go to “Settings – Wallet & Apple Pay.”
  • Tap “Default Card.”
  • Choose your card.
For Google Pay:
  • Go to pay.google.com.
  • At the top, click Payment methods. You may need to expand your browser window.
  • Next to the payment method you want to edit, click Edit.
    • If you don’t find "Edit," remove the payment method and add it again.
  • To update an expired card: Next to the card, click Fix. Enter the month (MM), year (YY), and security code.
For Samsung Pay: 
  • Open Samsung Pay on your phone. 
  • Tap Menu, and then tap Cards. 
  • Select your desired payment card. 
  • Tap More Options to add or remove the card from Favorite Cards.
Returns are handled in the same manner as how you purchased. Once the amount of the return is calculated by the merchant, select the card from your Wallet and hover your device over the card reader or NFC reader to complete the return.
Yes. When you use any of these services, your MECU card number is not stored on your phone or given to the merchant. A unique digital code is created specifically for that device. You still enjoy all the benefits of your MECU credit or debit card, which includes our Zero Liability policy that protects you from unauthorized purchases.
Since these services do not store your credit or debit card number on the device, you never reveal your name, card number, or security code to merchants.
The service is free, but message and data rates may apply, depending on your data plan.
