Credit Card
Yes, you can have the cash posted directly to your MECU card account, or cash can be posted to your MECU Primary Share Savings account (usually within 2-3 days).
Yes by sending a request via secure message through MECU's Mobile Banking App or Online Banking. Please use the topic Credit/Debit Card Services. Once your points are combined, they will appear on your Visa Credit Card account. Debit card points will still expire in 3 years (at year end).
Yes:
- Debit Card points: in three years (at year end).
- Credit Card points: in four years (at year end).
To convert points to cash, Signature cardholders must log into their CURewards account.
Business cards are not eligible for cash back.
You can easily redeem points by registering your cards (debit and credit must be registered separately) by logging into www.curewards.com.
You are able to register your cards at CURewards.com.
Digital Banking
No. ITMs can do many more types of transactions than ATMs. MECU still has ATMs available to do transactions, like withdrawing cash, or making a deposit. The ITMs are ideal for transactions that require a personal teller.
Login to Online Banking and select “More”.
Log into the MECU mobile app, click "Check Deposit," and upload a photo of your check.
Login to Online or Mobile Banking (via tablet), select “Transfers” and then click “Detailed”. Select “Transfer to Another SECU Member” and enter the information requested. Once the Account has been added, you will see it as a selection to transfer to in the “Transfers” section. For Mobile Banking (via phone), click on “Transfers”, and then “Add an Account”. You will be displayed with the Internal Account screen where you will complete the information required. Once the Account has been added, you will see it as a selection to transfer to in the “Transfers” section.
You can find your account number by logging into Online Banking or by calling MIA. If you call MIA, simply say "Can you help me find my account number?"

Most in-person teller transactions can be done at an ITM, including cash and check deposits, cash withdrawals, loan and mortgage payments and transfers.
Member Service Representatives are ready to help you with transactions that aren’t done on the ITM such as account opening, loan application, cashier’s checks/money orders, credit/debit card cash advances, and coin dispensing.

Fraud
Recognizing and Reporting Phishing Emails: If you receive an email that contains a link and/or an attachment from someone you do not recognize think before you click or open the attachment. It could be an attempt to get sensitive information or install malware/virus.
If your card is missing, please call the Lost/Stolen MECU Visa® Debit or Credit Card phone number to report it. 866-820-1039.

MECU will never contact you by phone, email or text message to ask for personal information. We will only ask you to provide this information to verify your identity when you call us directly.
If you notice activity on your account indicating a transaction made by someone other than you or an authorized user of that account, call us immediately at 800-231-5262.
If you suspect a check has been lost or stolen, you first need to contact us. If the check hasn't already been cashed, then you can request that they put a stop payment on it. It's a formal request that the check not be paid out by the bank if it's deposited or presented to be cashed.
Recovering your identity after it's been stolen can be an overwhelming process, but we're here for you. Your first step is to visit IdentityTheft.gov. Here you will begin the process of reporting and developing a recovering plan.
Loans
You received this “pre-screened” offer of credit because we used information from your credit report to determine that you satisfied certain pre-qualified criteria. Offer(s) are based on our estimation of your income and are contingent upon your:
- continuing to meet creditworthiness requirements;
- meeting income requirements consistent with the estimated values we obtained;
- debt-to-income is within acceptable limits; or
- providing acceptable collateral to secured the loan, if required.
Offers are not guaranteed if you:
- are no longer a member in good standing;
- applied for or obtained a MECU loan within the previous 60 days;
- have a pending approved MECU loan that you have not finalized; or
- are unable to provide acceptable identification.
The above pre-approved offers(s) are made available to you on the condition that you have a sufficient and verifiable source of income to meet the payment obligation and there has been no material change in your financial condition or creditworthiness. Offers are intended for the original recipient and not transferable to another person. MECU retains the right to perform and additional review, including, but not limited to, requiring verification of information, or obtaining a credit report to verify such information prior to loan disbursement.
We are allowed by law to pre-qualify you for these offers. If you do not want to receive prescreened offers from us or any other company, you may exercise the right to be excluded on pre-qualified lists by calling the toll-free number 1-888-5-OPT-OUT (1-888-567-8688), by visiting www.optoutprescreen.com or writing to the following address of the credit reporting agency which provides pre-qualifying lists to us: Experian Opt Out, P.O. Box 919, Allen, TX 75013-0919.
Yes, these offers are available for a limited time. Please refer to the Offer Expiration Date found on your offer letter or email. MECU will refresh LoanExpress offers several times per year, so if your offer does expire before you have a chance to take advantage of it, you may receive a new offer.
Your credit score is not affected by the LoanExpress pre-approval program and no inquiry will show on your credit report.1
Depending on your loan offers, you may accept up to one secured loan offer (vehicle or motorcycle) and one unsecured loan offer (credit card or personal loan).
You must accept offers before they expire and fund the loan within 30 days of the acceptance date.
You are welcome to submit a loan application for the full amount you want to borrow. Just keep in mind that doing so will trigger a full credit report review that may affect your credit score. Your pre-approval offer will become null and void.

Anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Baltimore City. We have relationships with more than 300 local companies that offer MECU membership regardless of your location. If a family member belongs or is eligible, you can also become a member. An eligible family member includes a spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, grandchild, aunt/uncle, niece/nephew, cousin or legal guardian, including roommates or housemates.
