You can use your MECU VISA Debit Card or MECU ATM card for Checking or Share Savings to withdraw cash from any MECU, Allpoint or M&T ATM and enjoy the valuable benefit of unlimited surcharge-free access to thousands of ATMs for only $1 per month per card. That can mean a savings of more than $130 per year in out-of-pocket surcharge expenses and foreign ATM transaction fees.

VISA Debit Card
The VISA Debit Card gives you the most options and acts as your ATM card to withdraw cash from MECU checking or savings and perform other transactions at machines in the STAR® and PLUS® networks worldwide.
You may use your VISA Debit Card to pay for purchases instead of writing a check...no more fumbling for identification, or hassles over returns and exchanges. The VISA Debit Card is accepted at locations worldwide that accept Visa.
At automated checkouts, such as a gas station, grocery or discount store you'll press a button to choose the type of transaction. Select VISA or credit card. You won't be asked for your PIN; you sign a transaction slip, enter it in your checkbook register and the funds are deducted from your Checking account.
You may also pay for purchases with your card where you see the STAR® sign. When you pay at a STAR® location, you will use your PIN.

MECU ATM Card with Checking
The MECU ATM card with Checking acts as your ATM card to withdraw cash from MECU checking or savings and perform other transactions at machines in the STAR® and PLUS® networks. You may also pay for purchases with your ATM card where you see the STAR® sign. When you pay at the point of sale, you use the same PIN as you do at an ATM.
Monthly fee of $1.00. If you don't use a MECU, Allpoint or M&T ATM, you will be assessed a foreign ATM transaction fee by MECU and be responsible for surcharges, assessed by the financial institution where you withdraw the funds.

MECU ATM Card for Share Savings
Did you know that you can withdraw cash from Share Saving through an ATM even if you don't have a MECU Checking account? MECU's Share Savings Access Card lets you check your Share account balance and withdraw cash from it anywhere in the STAR® or PLUS® ATM networks.
This is a great benefit if you don't live near a MECU branch, or for convenience when you're on vacation or out of town because you can make a withdrawal from savings without waiting for a check to be mailed to your home address. It's also great so you don't have to wait in line to make a withdrawal on pay day.
Monthly fee of $1.00. If you don't use a MECU, Allpoint or M&T ATM, you will be assessed a foreign ATM transaction fee by MECU and be responsible for surcharges assessed by the financial institution where you withdraw the funds.

ATM Card with No Frills
If you don't use ATMs very often or prefer to pay as you go, you may opt for our plain vanilla, no-frills ATM card. You have convenient access to withdraw cash at any STAR® location, but when you use your no-frills card, you will be responsible for any fees you may incur except when using your card at a MECU ATM.
To get a no-frills card, you must visit any MECU branch office.
No monthly fee. You don't have to pay the $1 per month cardholder fee but you do have to pay for all surcharges and transaction fees you may incur at non-MECU ATMs.
You will pay a transaction fee to use Allpoint and M&T ATMs.
