Checking

Direct Deposits and Withdrawals

The upgrade will not impact direct deposits or scheduled withdrawals on existing accounts unless you have been notified of a changed account number. 

If you have been notified of a change of your account number and you have direct deposit or other pre-authorized ACH transactions, please update your employer, Social Security office, utilities company, etc., with your new account number after Monday, November, 6 but no later than Thursday, November 30th.
 

RewardChecking and Cashback Checking

Effective Monday, November 6, cycle dates for RewardChecking and CashBack Checking will be defined as a period beginning one (1) banking day prior to the first day of the current statement cycle through one (1) banking day prior to the last business day of the current statement cycle.

Instant Issue

MECU’s Instant Issue ATM Card service will be discontinued on Monday, November 6. Instant Issue for Visa® Debit Cards is coming soon!

ATM, VISA Debit and Credit Cards

The system upgrade will not impact your usage of your Debit, Credit, or ATM cards.

Telephone Teller

Our upgrade will require you to reset your Telephone Teller PIN. Members can reactivate their PIN by calling Telephone Teller at 410-727-6540 after operations resume on Monday, November 6, at approximately 2 pm. Please follow the prompts to update your PIN.


Savings

Money Market Interest Calculation

Effective Monday, November 6, MECU’s Money Market interest rate calculation is changing. MECU is moving from an “average daily balance” to using a “daily balance” calculation. Please see the Money Market disclosure for more details.

 

Statements

You will receive an interim statement after Monday, November 6, 2023, reflecting your account activity since your prior statement. Thereafter, you will receive your statement based on your cycle date.
