Apply for a Holiday Line of Credit

  • Get up to $1,500 at 20.99% APR1 for 12 months.
  • Applications accepted online from October 15 through December 13, 2024.
  • To get started, Apply Now and follow these steps:
    • Do NOT click on "Yes, I prefer a line of credit."
    • Select "HOLIDAY PROMO" as the “Purpose”
    • Enter $1,500 as the “Loan Amount”
      • Enter 12 as the “Term (months)”
  • Once approved, transfer your Holiday Line of Credit funds to your MECU Savings or Checking account using Online Banking, Mobile Banking, or Telephone Teller at 833-752-8313 any time from October 15 through December 31, 2024.

  • Renewal letters were mailed on October 10, 2024.
  • Members qualified for renewal do NOT need to re-apply for a new Holiday Line of Credit to access available funds2.

1 The estimated monthly payment on a $1,500 line of credit at 20.99% APR for 12 months is $143. Eligibility requirements to apply for a MECU Holiday Line of Credit: Must be a MECU member for a minimum of 12 months and currently in good standing with an existing direct deposit of net pay or allotment equal to or greater than the monthly Holiday Line of Credit payment for a minimum of three pay cycles; current on all MECU loan accounts; no MECU loan or deposit charge-offs; and no open bankruptcies. Requests are subject to credit review. If approved, funds will be deposited into your MECU Primary Share account, typically within 10-14 business days following receipt of your completed loan documentation.

2 Available funds will be calculated by taking your current credit limit minus any remaining balance due. Access to available Holiday Line of Credit funds will be available October 15, 2024 through December 31, 2024.
