On May 17, 2015, the Baltimore Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women hosted their spring fundraiser “Gourmet Men of Distinction” at Martin’s West. MECU of Baltimore Inc. was well represented by its Chairman of the Board, Herman Williams Jr. and its Interim CEO, John M. Hamilton.
Business and community leaders from the Baltimore area prepared their signature dishes to share with the members of the Baltimore Chapter. Chairman Williams prepared his crab soup, while Interim CEO Hamilton baked a variety of rum cakes to entice the guests.
The event raised funds for advocacy programs for young women in the community including “girls in gang violence”, HIV/AIDS Awareness and professional mentoring.
